Questions

The short answers

When do the free tiers open?

The team plan is open now. Member and Judge accounts open as we finish sign-up with an email and a password, or Google or Microsoft. Tell us you want one and we will write when it opens.

Do I need a sanctioning member number?

Judges, a team’s Pitmaster and reps do: it is how we know you are who you say you are. An ordinary Member does not need one, and neither does anyone else on a team.

Can one person be on more than one team?

Yes. Only a team’s Pitmaster adds or removes people on that team, and the Pitmaster chooses which cooks each person is on.

What if my team has more than four people?

Extra seats come in packs, and Team Unlimited has no limit. Both are coming; the price of each is announced when it opens.

Can a judge use the Timeline Builder?

No. It is built for teams. A judge can add Learn to use the Cook Time Calculator, BBQ Ops University and the smokers, to cook better at home.

Who can run a contest in BBQOps?

Only a rep or an organizer, by invitation. You apply, we check who you are, your credentials and the contest you run, and then you can bring in volunteers for that contest only.

How do I pay?

On this website. The apps only sign you in. A team’s plan is set up for you today; self-service payment comes with sign-up.

Ready to run the pit?

Bring your timeline, your crew and your history. Leave the clipboard in the truck.
